Update! I wanted to let you know that Riley was Runner Up for the 1000m at her Regional Championship Meet this past weekend. She crushed her PR and ran a time of 3:04.7. She will be competing as a freshman at the state meet. She is also on a 4x4 Relay team and they won with a time of 4:01.32.

Hello! More good news! Riley competed this weekend at the VHSL Class 5 State Championship. She was the only freshman running the 1000 and she took 3rd place with a PR Time of 3:02.35. Her 4x4 Relay team took 2nd with a time of 3:59.29 and she ran her leg in under a minute.

Hi! Last year you gave me some information for my daughter, Riley Humphries, and I just wanted to pass along some good news! This past weekend she competed in the Virginia Class 5 State Championships and WON her event, the 1000m with a PR time of 2:58.06!  Thank you for taking the time to respond to me when you did, it really meant a lot.
- Morgan H. regarding her daughter Riley (Was on a high school team but the coach was spread too thin and couldn't really give her the attention she needed. They asked me for advice and tips on things she could do. I began helping Riley in 2022 and have continued into 2023)

"I was looking for help with my 1.5 mile run test for the military, and I came across John. I contacted him to ask for help, he set up a call and was very invested on helping me.
His program was great, great progress and it was challenging but not overwhelming. He would schedule calls every week to check on progress and we would talk about the week. I also would periodically message him through the week on updates. I dropped a minute off my run and became a more efficient runner.
John is great!"
- Erich was trying to get into the armed forces but was having difficulty with the 1.5 mile timed run. He had to complete it in 10:30 but was tiring out and missing the mark. I analyzed his own running plan, made adjustments and he followed the plan.

I ran my first Marathon!
- Lori R. (Wanted to run a marathon. Started at just 10 miles per week. Took from there to running the Marine Corp marathon over a period of 10 months. A 6 month base phase + 18 weeks of training for the race)

O.K. Get this...I won my age bracket!
- Peggy C. (Just wanted to keep up with her friends in the 5K)

Hey! Your plan is working nicely. I participated in a meet for the 3K and I got a staggering 10:37!

[Our son] has really loved this season and it is the most I've seen him into a sport at all. He wants to play (soccer) next season.  I think a lot of his enthusiasm is due to you and your style of coaching which made him feel comfortable and like it was all for fun, which is just what he needs. Thank you so much for all you did this season!!
